I am currently on a drug called Phenobarbital. It has prevented me from having seizures too often. Once I get the correct dosage figured out, I may not have them too often at all! The medicine is making me a bit dozy and clumsy and hungry, but that’s because we’re still figuring out the right amount I should take. In time, those minor side effects should go away. And really, I don’t mind having an extra nap a day!
My foster mom says while my medical condition is a bit unfortunate it really shouldn’t slow me down much or change my path in life! I just need the right home that has patience, love and understanding (and maybe a few extra dollars to help pay for my medicine and blood tests, which really aren’t too expensive). I promise to repay you with company on walks and hugs, kisses and snuggles every single day!
If you want to know more about Epilepsy in dogs just Google it. There is lots of information that I found on the web!

Sherman is a handsome fellow. I had a family dog that had seizures when I was a child. I was just a kid, and don't know what caused them. But I remember sitting next to Alvin and petting him until the seizures passed. I'm not able to give Sherman a home (as our rental agreement says no pets), but I hope he finds his fur-ever home soon. He sounds wonderful.
